One thing I know for sure is that 80% of business success is determined by how the business owner thinks and feels (about themselves, about sales, about self-promotion, money, rejection, and so on).  

Most business owners get caught up thinking that there’s a missing magical “HOW”. A mystery strategy that they just can’t figure out. The truth is, there are so many ways to sign clients, and so many ways to build a profitable business. Finding out the “how” is never the real barrier for growth (its always something internal).

Check with yourself - are you clear on what you're selling? Do you have something you're ready and excited to sell, do you know know what it is, why someone would buy it, do you have the price and everything ready to go? **p.s. Also check all your links work (yes really): If someone wants to book a call with you - can they? If they want to buy your offer - can they? If they comment a keyword, is your Manychat working?

Promote Your Freebie (that leads to a call/invite/sale)

  • Post your freebie on all socials, make it your CTA on all your posts/reels
  • Put your freebie in your bio - and make it clear that its there
  • Send your freebie to your mailing list
  • Share your freebie in relevant communities in response to someone - reddit threads/facebook groups/threads/linkedin groups (making sure its ok to do so)

Your Existing Audience

  • Send a clear "I have X spots open for “[very specific thing] email
  • Send a clear "I have X spots open for “[very specific thing] on socials
  • Send a deadline-driven invitation (closes in 7 days)
  • Run a flash sale / limited-time price with deadline
  • Offer a fast-action bonus for booking within 48 hours
  • Resend the same offer to people who didn't open the first email
  • Post the offer on every social channel you have
  • Text your VIP / phone list if you have one with the invitation

DM / Direct Outreach

  • Message past clients - offer them a continuation or next-level option
  • Reconnect with anyone who has attended a free event/free call 
  • Message people who inquired before but never ended up buying
  • Reach out to "ghost" potential clients from 3-6 months ago
  • Voice-note 10 warm leads instead of texting
  • Reply to everyone who's recently engaged with your content 
  • Reach out to people who replied to a past story poll/question
  • Ask current clients if they have any referrals
  • DM people who follow you but have never interacted
  • Reconnect with old colleagues / peers who serve a similar audience

  • Post a clear call-to-action offer (not just value)
  • Share a client win / testimonial + "want these results? DM me “RESULTS”
  • Go live and teach something and invite people into your offer at the end
  • Share behind-the-scenes of working with a client
  • Show your work clearly (not just tell)
  • Post a poll/question to surface interested people, then DM responders
  • Pin a post or story highlight with your offer + booking link
  • Add your booking link to every bio and post (make sure the links work)

New Offers / Packaging

  • Create a small, low-commitment "starter" offer (single session, audit, intensive)
  • Offer a paid trial or "test drive" session
  • Create a 1-day or 1-week "VIP intensive"
  • Bundle two services for the price of one for 7 days only
  • Offer a payment plan to remove the price objection
  • Offer a "pay what feels aligned" intro session
  • Add a money-back / satisfaction guarantee to lower risk
  • Bundle old courses/offers together in new bundle deal

Referrals / Partnerships

  • Ask current and past clients for a referral (give them a reason/reward)
  • Offer a referral bonus or discount
  • Reach out to complementary providers for a client swap
  • Do a free guest workshop for someone else's audience
  • Get featured / interviewed on a podcast or newsletter
  • Offer affiliate commission to peers who send a client
  • Ask people you know to introduce you to one specific person

Events / Live Activations

  • Comment helpfully on bigger accounts in your niche to get visibility

Everyday / Personal Network

  • Tell friends and family specifically what you do and who you're looking for
  • Mention what you do in casual conversation (school run, gym, cafĂ©, dog park)
  • Reconnect with someone over coffee/lunch and let it come up naturally
  • Wear or carry something that prompts "what do you do?" conversations
  • Tell your hairdresser, trainer, neighbour - the people you see weekly

Local Businesses & Spaces

  • Partner with a complementary local business (gym, salon, studio, clinic) for cross-referrals
  • Leave cards / flyers at relevant local spots (with permission)
  • Offer to do a free talk at a gym, studio, co-working space, or community centre
  • Rent a room for a day and run in-person intensives
  • Pop into businesses you'd love to collaborate with and introduce yourself

Community & Groups

  • Join a local business or networking group (BNI, Chamber of Commerce, etc.)
  • Attend faith, hobby, or interest groups where you can build genuine relationships
  • Volunteer somewhere your ideal client is present
  • Attend alumni or membership events

Direct In-Person Conversion

  • Offer in-person discovery sessions / consultations during events
  • Carry your booking link / QR code so you can sign someone on the spot
  • Always have a clear next step ready ("I've got space next week - want to book?")

Paid / Expand-Reach

  • Run a small targeted ad to a free call or low-ticket offer
  • Boost your best-performing organic post
  • Sponsor a relevant newsletter

Sales Process Tightening

  • Follow up with every open conversation (the fortune is in the follow-up)
